Books for Blessings

Hey everyone!

This week was great for Books for Blessings! On Thursday, we read the book we wrote called, Billy's Best Friend. It is a book about a boy named Billy who has a pet turtle named Tommy. However, Billy gets tired of Tommy and goes on a search for a brand new pet. He meets many other animals and asks them to be his pet, but they all say no because they can't live in a home, they all belong somewhere else. All of a sudden, Billy realizes Tommy is meant to be in his life and is very grateful for him. We then interviewed Bella's cousin, Yvie, who is in second grade. She loved the book! We are pretty much done with the project! We took the extension to finish up some lose ends! Below is our interview with Yvie.

Interview with Yvie (Yvonne) Hamilton

What are you most thankful for?
Yvie is most thankful for her family.

What was the point of the story?
The point of the story was that he knew he wanted a new pet, but everyone he asked said no.

Have you ever wanted something you couldn't have? Or do you believe that you are always pretty thankful for what you have?
Sometimes you are grateful for things, but you have to experience big events to understand why you should be thankful.

After reading the book, what are you most thankful for?
Yvie is most thankful for her fish. (Didn't appreciate him as much before)

We will see y'all next week with our last Books for Blessings blog post!
