Books for Blessings

 Hello Everyone!

How might your Genius Hour project help you stand out to colleges?

For my Genius Hour project, my partner, Bella, and I(Paige) are writing children's books. The books will teach the kids how to be grateful for what they have and to not take things they have for granted. Bella and I are very passionate about kids and teaching them about the importance of being grateful, because we are both very grateful for what we are and believe we are very blessed with what God has given us. I believe this makes us stand out to colleges, because not many people our age are passionate about this and there are not many teens who have written books, especially for kids.

How will this help shape your life plan?

For me, this will help shape my life plan by helping me be better with kids. I(Paige) want to go to college to be a Labor and Delivery Nurse and eventually (hopefully) have kids of my own. So, I plan to spend a majority of my life around kids and I think this will really help me because we will interview and read to kids, therefore, we will interact with them and see how they act. Being grateful is really important to me, and with this project, I believe that it will help me to teach it to my future children and to other people that I meet. Not only will it help and teach kids to be grateful, but it will help Bella and me as well.
